PUBLIC INFORMATION
For the
SEWER SEPARATION IMPROVEMENTS, PHASE I
The Village is currently preparing to finalize design and construct the
Sewer Separation Improvements Phase I. The objective of the project is to eliminate two of the Village's active
overflows while significantly minimizing the activity at two other locations. The project is an assortment of
various types of improvements, located throughout multiple sites in the Village, all designed to address inflow
and infiltration issues within the system. The improvements will be funded through the Water Pollution Control
Loan Fund (WPCLF) administered through the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA), Division of
Environmental & Financial Assistance (DEFA). The funding is a low interest loan for the full amount
of the project, with half being eligible for principal forgiveness (principal forgiveness is comparable
to a grant). The Public is invited to take this opportunity to review the

Limited Environmental Review
The Ohio EPA has made available for public information a Limited Environmental Review of the Village
of Crestline’s Sewer Separation Improvements Phase I project:

The purpose of this project is to
eliminate sanitary sewer overflows within the existing sanitary sewer infrastructure as well as
achieve compliance with the effluent limits of its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System
(NPDES) permit. These documents may also be viewed at the Ohio EPA’s website at
http://epa.ohio.gov/defa/public_comment.aspx
or in hard copy at the Village Hall or the Crestline Public Library. If you would like to receive
