Yet at the same time we are a City of vitality,
providing those critical resources every business needs: abundant
transportation systems, skilled work force, responsive City services, and
an administration committed to planned industrial development.
Crestline is located at the intersection of U.S. 30
and State Route 61. I-71, approximately 17 miles east, provides access to Columbus and Cincinnati to the south and Cleveland and the Ohio
Turnpike to the north. Major railroad freight services are provided by CSX
Transportation.
The area is serviced by over 40 interstate and
intrastate truck lines with 25 terminals. Mansfield Lahm Airport, located 12 miles
to the northeast, has a 9,200 foot runway. Galion Airport, located 2 miles
to the south of Crestline has a 3500 foot runway, provides excellent
private and commercial aircraft facilities for local and long distance
travel along with G.C.S. Air Service.
Within the past decade, the central business district
of Crestline has experienced a dramatic face lift in redevelopment. Public
funds were expended for program activities such as acquisition, relocation,
demolition, disposition, and public improvements, including streetscaping
and a new street lighting system.
